Client Bill of Rights

Subject to Change - Last Rev. 03/28/2023.

Contact Information: My name is Sandra Castillo /dba/ S. Gia Castillo, LLC. I can be contacted by telephone at 407.234.3064.

Education and Training: I was trained in hypnotherapy by The National Association of Transpersonal Hypnotherapists (NATH). I am a Certified Member of the National Guild of Hypnotists (NGH), the International Medical & Dental Hypnotherapy Association (IMDHA), and the International Association of Counselors & Therapists (IACT). I complete annual continuing education to maintain my training at a high level. The National Guild of Hypnotists is the oldest and largest hypnotism organization in the world and its certification is the most widely recognized credential for the professional practice of the hypnotic arts. I am a Certified Stress Management Consultant (CSMC), a Reiki Master Teacher (Usui Method), Certified Evolutionary Astrologer Apprentice, an EMT, Personal/Professional Coach, and I graduated summa cum laude from the University of West Florida with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Public Health.

Notice: AS THE STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA HAS NOT ADOPTED EDUCATIONAL AND TRAINING STANDARDS FOR THE PRACTICE OF HYPNOTISM, THIS STATEMENT OF CREDENTIALS IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. Hypnotism is a self-regulating profession and its practitioners are not licensed by state governments. I am not a physician nor a licensed health care provider and may not provide a medical diagnosis nor recommend discontinuance of medically prescribed treatments. If a client desires a diagnosis or any other type of treatment from a different practitioner, the client may seek such services at any time. In the event my services are terminated by a client, the client has a right to coordinated transfer of services to another practitioner. A client has a right to refuse hypnotism services at any time. A client has a right to be free of physical, verbal or sexual abuse. A client has a right to know the expected duration of sessions, and may assert any right without retaliation.

Redress: As a certified member of the National Guild of Hypnotists (NGH), I practice in accordance with its Code of Ethics and Standards. If you have a complaint about my services or behavior that I cannot resolve for you personally, you may contact the National Guild of Hypnotists at P. O. Box 308, Merrimack, NH 03054-0308, (603) 429-9438, to seek redress. Every member of the National Guild of Hypnotists provides this information to every client to insure ethical practice.

Fees: The rates for services vary and are listed under each individual service provided. Please refer to the tab on this website under SERVICES to view the individual prices. You will be invoiced to pay for your session up front, prior to your visit, and will continue to pay for a session in advance.

Attendance of sessions is essential. Please value and prioritize your sessions. Kindly provide a minimum of 48 hours notice by phone, email or text if you cannot attend your appointment. Otherwise, you will forfeit your payment as stated and detailed under the FAQ's provisions. You will be given a minimum of  28 days’ notice if my fees change after you are a client. Appointments are expected to end at an agreed time, or at my discretion, and full fee applies, even if you are late.

Exposure: An inherent risk of exposure to Covid-19 exists in any setting where more than one person is present. My business follows all recommended precautions and rules regarding protecting public health. However, you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to Covid-19 or any similar illness should you visit my office rented space in person rather than online.

Confidentiality: I will not release any information to anyone without a written authorization from you, except as provided for by law. You have a right to be allowed access to my written record about you.

Insurance: I suggest you think of my services as something that you will pay for personally. That will both protect your privacy and help you value the work you are doing more. In general, insurance companies do not like to cover hypnotic or complimentary holistic services, and I caution you not to expect them to do so.

My Approach: I prefer to have a complimentary initial discovery consultation with you by telephone or virtually before our first session and if I feel we need permission from your Health Care Provider we will need to wait for their direction before committing to meet for our hypnosis and regression sessions.

In your first session we discuss your issues and agree on a shared action plan. We discuss your goals and I provide you with self-help techniques. I help facilitate change, it is your responsibility to practice the self-help techniques in order to create that change. I use metaphors and teach you self-hypnosis to enhance your personal skills and assets.

The services I render are held out to the public as a form of motivational coaching and using hypnosis with a transpersonal and integrative approach. I do not represent my services as any form of health care or psychotherapy, and despite research to the contrary, by law I may make no health benefit claims for my services.
